]]> Portfolio boxes hold collectable items up to 11×14 inches, such as photo books, albums, and collector’s guides. The archival version can be used for long-term storage of art photography. Boxes are approximately 1 inch/2.5 cm deep and will hold two albums, or two photo books, or three collector’s guides, or 8 artworks.

Choose an option:

  • The leather-wrapped portfolio box is beautiful and suitable for the storage of books, albums, and other collectables. The leather-wrapped portfolio box is not archival and not recommended for long-term storage of artwork.
  • The archival portfolio box is sleek and stylish and suitable for the storage of artwork. The archival portfolio box is lined with a buffered acid-free and lignin-free black paper. The box is entirely constructed from neutral pH materials and is completely free of contaminants. When storing artwork, it is not recommended that you store books or other items with your artworks.

Portfolio boxes incur no additional shipping cost when ordered with appropriate products: photo book, artwork with paper sizes of 11×14 and smaller, portfolio albums.

    ]]>     Artworks up to 24×36 inches can be shipped flat for an additional fee. This method offers triple-layer protection, flat artwork delivery. Flat package is not sold separately.

    Note: Do not add flat packaging to traditional darkroom photographs (hand-printed gelatin silver.) Flat shipping is already included with darkroom photography.

    Note: Flat shipping packages are not normally kept in stock. Additional shipping time of 6-12 business days is usually required when selecting this option. For fastest shipping, stick with rolled (tube box) shipping. Both shipping methods offer robust packaging and weather protection.

    • Not sold separately. Archival storage for art photography must be ordered with at least one archival photograph.

    Please note that curing will occur during storage; this is normal and artworks can be flattened by a professional framer. It is not recommended that tubes be used to store artworks that will be periodically unrolled then re-rolled by the collector. If you choose to unroll and re-roll your photograph, take care not to damage to the paper during handling. For artworks to be viewed unframed, an archival storage box is an option.
