# Majorelle

Intense blue dominates the composition in this art photograph. Blue chalk covers a nude woman as she jumps through the scene. The Marrakech blue (Majorelle blue, Klien blue) is most vibrant in the circular piles of pigment under her. The apparent result of her handiwork is evident in designs on the floor.

The warm figure, arms and legs extended, stands out against the backdrop and foreground. Blue at the bottom and fading into neutral highlights above, the negative space contrasts sharply with her figure.
