The composition presents a series of concentric shapes. Inner-most of these is the negative shape (open space) between the central figure’s body and her arm. This central figure forms the next shape with the outline of her body. The bright light surrounding her is the next layer, this bright circle of light is distinct from the next layer: the darker backgound around the central figure. The final ring is made of the foreground figures that merge with all four frame edges.
