A single feminine figure sits in the shallow water of a blue swimming pool in this large original art nude. Her chin is tilted downward and she gazes into the water near her. Her eyes are mostly shut, with her eyelids and lashes distinct against her cheek. She rests on her arms, positioned behind her. Her legs are outstretched, bent at the knees and angled into the right portion of the frame.

The main character occupies approximately half of the vertical space in this large original art nude. There is a small amount of foreground and ample background. The stonework of the curved edge of the pool divides the composition roughly in half. The upper portion is occupied by earth tones and the submerged blue swimming pool surface dominates the lower half. Her salmon-hued body unites these two halves.

Several areas of the composition contain patterns or textures. These patterns include the highlights reflecting on the steps of the pool near the bottom of the frame. Two other areas of pattern are the two shrubs in the background which have a pattern of green leaves. The vertical slats of of fence in the background form additional areas of pattern.
