Buy art, shipped direct to you
Buy art photography directly from the artist's studio; have it shipped directly to your doorstep. After you buy artwork, it faces a number of challenges during shipment: weather, stacking, and a long journey. Aaron Knight's packaging philosophy: get it right the first time, every time. Your artwork is insured against damage and guaranteed to be replaced if it doesn't arrive in pristine condition.
Shipping guarantee
Photographs are shipped via USPS priority mail, FedEx, DHL, or UPS. All are insured against damage and guaranteed to be replaced if not in pristine condition upon arrival. In the unlikely event of damage, photographs must be returned before replacement, ask us for instructions first.
All shipments are guaranteed and will be replaced in the very unlikely event of damage.
Fulfillment time
Aaron Knight and team do their best to ship your order from the studio in seven business days. With a full schedule and occasional supply chain issues, fulfillment time may periodically be longer.
Delivery times and tracking
Photographs arrive domestically within 3 days after shipment. Photographs 40 inches/102 cm and larger will be protected by special rigid packaging and delivery may take longer. We will keep you updated via email about the status of your art purchase. You may inquire via email or phone if you need additional details.
Books are shipped domestically via USPS and typically arrive in less than one week (48 United States) after shipment. Expedited US shipping delivers books in 2-3 days. Priority mail shipping upgrade is available on photo books for most US destinations at no additional cost. This is helpful when an order is for a gift deadline such as a birthday or Christmas. Books are double-packed with cardboard and bubble wrap.
Undeliverable addresses resulting in packages returned to the artist are subject to reshipping charges. Shipping charges may be refunded at the sole discretion of the artist for non-delivery due to an error or inaction by the purchaser. Please make sure your address is correct and someone can receive the package.

Packaging of artwork
Limited edition photographs are wrapped in archival barrier paper, double-packed in a heavy-duty tube, then a sturdy outer carton, with eco-friendly packing. Photographs that are 40 inches/102 cm and larger will be protected by special rigid packaging. Your art purchase undergoes the following packaging prior to shipment:
Barrier paper
Glassine, an archival barrier paper, covers the face of the artwork. This specialized material is the industry standard for archival protection in transit.
Heavy-duty tube
The artwork is rolled and secured with low-tack tape. The heavy-duty tube will protect the artwork in transit. End caps are secured with tape on both ends. This tube should be opened by a frame shop to ensure the safe unpacking. The certificate of authenticity will be in this tube with the art.
Weather barrier
A weather barrier may be necessary depending on the transit distance, season, and final destination. A waterproof polyethylene film is secured with stretch wrap which you can easily remove.
Protective cushioning
An eco-friendly protective cushioning fully wraps the inner container. If the outer box is damaged by rough handling, you may remove the protective cushioning for peace of mind that the art tube remains safe.
Sturdy box
The tube is fully covered in packing and placed in a sturdy box. These are heavy-duty and eco-sourced (same boxes the art paper arrived in.)
Ready to ship
The outside of the box is labeled for tracked and insured shipping. Your address will be hand-written on the box as a contingency for any damage to the shipping label. You'll see the Aaron Knight Fine Art logo and fragile stickers, language-appropriate to the destination.
Rolled shipping
Rolled shipping, described above, is the safest way to transport archival photographs on heavy paper. Art paper is on a roll during printing and re-rolling does not harm it. Framers are accustomed to rolled artwork and the photograph does not suffer from the process.
Flat shipping option
If you prefer, sizes up to 24x36 inches/61x91 can be shipped flat in a double-walled, lined package (e.g. Masterpak.) Packaging and shipping costs are higher for flat shipping and fulfillment times may be longer, based on availability of materials. Flat shipping can be cost-effective when you buy art photography in quantities of three or more. Want your art shipped flat instead of rolled? Upgrade to flat shipping.
Recycling packaging
Honeycomb wrapping paper is 100% biodegradable paper and can be recycled or composted by any facility where accepted. Cardboard boxes and inserts can be recycled or composted by any facility where accepted. Eco-friendly bubble pack (used occasionally) is recyclable #4 where accepted.
