In this original nude signed photograph, a woman is surrounded by multicolor confetti. The scraps of colored paper fall around her. Red, peach, green, blue, and purple squares occupy the margins between her slim figure and the edges of the frame. The scraps of confetti are brilliant against the drab gray featureless background.
Her back is turned towards us and she makes no attempt to look over her shoulder. Her posture indicates that she knows she is seen. Her body is taut, arms straight to her sides, palms facing backwards. One foot is lifted completely off the ground, a toe on the verge of touching back down. The other heel is lifted just enough to be perceptible. Despite her somewhat rigid stance, she is evidently in motion.
At the end of her relaxed fingers are manicured nails. Her palms face back towards us, on either side of her hips.
A shadow defines the center of her torso, and another connects to her legs. A series of long vertical shadows express the contours of her body and limbs. Compare these shapes to those of the cut paper, floating on either side of her and in the space above. The bottom of this original nude signed photograph is the only blank grey in the composition.
