Mesas, which typify the Arizona horizon, are silhouetted against the setting sun. Jagged shapes of sedimentary rock jut upward in various proportions.

The sky occupies almost half of the design, blending from blue to orange. A pale gray swath runs horizontally through the clear evening. Scant clouds hover just over the horizon at the left. A yellow patch at the far right shows the setting sun is just out of view.

The foreground of this fine art nude landscape is a dirt road, strewn with small rocks. The road and figure glow in a curious light, which casts a shadow behind her. Her long hair appears caught in a mild breeze, another symbol of the relationship between female beauty and the landscape. Ruts and tire tracks are evidence that it has been recently traveled. Tiny shrubs and red dirt line either side of the road.
