Poolside art nude

In this poolside art nude, a single nude lays on the hardscaping near the water. Her back is visible and her face is in profile. She props herself up on outstretched arms, revealing her chest and most of both arms.

The pool behind her is an intense greenish turquoise. Nearer to her body, the pool color gives way to a bright spot of cyan. Reflections in the water hint at tall trees nearby that shield her from the midday sun. The leafy shadows continue from the water, across her body, and onto the pavement. The shadows across these three regions help to unite the foreground elements and make the transition from water to pavement more gradual.

A narrow strip of pavement at the top of the image tapers off into a wedge as it progresses toward the upper right corner. The far edge of the pool is emphasized by a shadow immediately below the water line. In the foreground, the edge stones of the pool form a downward-pointing angle. Because the three diagonal lines that define the pool do not align to any edge of the frame, they also give a sense of spontaneity to the image.

Other poolside art nude photographs include a colorful nude artwork as well as a black and white art nude. Many of these are sensual art photography displaying a figure in an exciting or energetic way. The styles of contemporary art photography can be quirky or unusual in their approach to the subject matter.
