Light writing is the process of moving a light source during the long exposure of a photograph. In this case, the nude figure occupied various poses and locations over several seconds. After several iterations, selected poses were digitally composited. Several figures move laterally across the stage, depicting a succession various acrobatic poses. The series of ghostly figures portray the passage of time.
The color pallet of this artwork consists of muted, dark tones. The predominant masses are at the top of the composition, giving it a weighty mood. The ground glows dimly in the darkness, adding to the emotion. The image has a gritty texture that extends from edge to edge, imparting a nostalgic aspect to the contemporary technique.
