In this art photograph, a nude woman props one knee on a dark block. This limited edition is an analog photograph, meaning it was hand-produced in the darkroom using a wet chemical process. She lifts her other foot in an indication of kinetic energy. Her back is to the viewer, and her face is turned, locked in a gaze at something out of the frame.

Although decidedly erotic, this black and white photograph is restrained in it’s presentation of the nude female form. Shadow partially cloaks the details of her unabashed stance. The subject is athletic in stature, lean, and toned.

Her face indicates a tranquil mind, perhaps lost in thought. The somber tones of gray reinforce this mood. Through her relaxed expression and deliberate posture she indicates a sense of ease with being observed.

Both of her hands are partially obscured, poised to climb onto the block. Her weight appears distributed across all four limbs, implying imminent upward movement. Curls of hair touch one shoulder and frame her neck.

Analog photography process

Without the benefit of editing, a key aspect of analog film photography is that we see the subject much as she was in the moment. The darkroom development process controls contrast and tonality, but little else. Faint tan lines and scars are testament to the unadulterated nature of the result.

This photograph is hand signed and numbered in the lower margin with permanent ink.

Considerations

This photograph is shipped flat. This item may require additional fulfillment time before shipment. This photograph is hand-produced, enlarged from analog film. Analog film grain is characteristic of the process. Examine the artwork’s details by fully zooming in on each preview. Variations are normal evidence of the manual process. The edges may have a slight curl or exhibit drying clamp marks at the corners.
