Pinup Collection of Art Photography for Sale

The first art book Aaron Knight owned was Hajime Soroyama's "Pinup," as a teenager. Later, in college, he was influenced by Olivia De Berardinis' artwork of pinups. On a museum visit, he saw "Great American Nude" painted by Tom Wesselmann and realized that the subject of sexual attraction wasn't strictly taboo. Somewhere in between, he saw his first Playboy magazine, which he used to be reluctant to admit, was also an influence. Later on, Knight noticed the more nuanced style of Helmut Newton. His final influence would be painting, rather than photography, with the semi-surreal work of Mel Ramos.

Knight now describes his general style as unapologetic. He doesn't rely on strategically placed fig leaves to obscure the body. If you enjoy this unabashed combination of classic aesthetic and glamour, prepare to indulge.
